Simplification
Recently I wrote a small program in Python that modeled a simple turn-based fighting game. My original plan was to write a complex action-RPG, but I ended up oversimplifying it. This concept can also be applied elsewhere. A sofa can be described as a kind of chair, but it is really just an oversized pillow. A desktop PC is only an overpowered abacus. Similarly, an action-RPG can be simplified into a turn-based game.

Odwalla
I have been drinking Odwalla, a mixed-fruit purée blend of lots of fruits. Today, they switched their design of the bottle!

Iron Block
I found a block of metal on the sidewalk. I thought it was a piece of iron, but I was not sure. I did a Google search and found that the density of iron was 7.874 g/mL. After tracing the metal onto a piece of paper, I did a calculation and weighed the metal to find the density. It turned out a little more than the exact number, about 8.082 g/mL. The iron block is iron.

Voice and Video Calling
Body language plays a large role in communication. When one is talking on the phone, he does not see with his eyes that the other person is listening, so he tends to get irritated. When I am voice calling someone, I find that I shout the receiver's name quite a lot. However, when video calling, I am more relaxed and laid back. Video calling services, such as FaceTime or Skype, could be on the road to replacing traditional voice communications.

Horse and the River
The Story:
Horse needed to deliver a parcel to the other side of a river. Not knowing how deep the river was and whether it was safe to cross, he decided to ask Buffalo and Squirrel for suggestions. Buffalo, being big and tall, was not mildly afraid of the task. "Go on and wade across!" he advised. Squirrel, however, was very scared due to her small body. "Don't even try!" she exclaimed. "One of my friends drowned in there yesterday!" Horse, split between the two, could not decide. In doubt, he went home to ask his mother. "You never know until you try." his mother suggested. Horse went back to swim across, and he succeeded.
My Interpretation:
Listen to others, but don't entirely rely on their ideas. One's peer's thoughts are not as important as one's own.
